Second chance summer - Morgan Matson
Résumé : " Sandwiched between two exceptional siblings, Taylor Edwards never felt
like she stood out—except for her history of running away when things
get too complicated. Then her dad receives unexpected, terrible news,
and the family makes the last-minute decision to spend the summer
together in the cramped quarters at their old lake house.
Taylor hasn’t been to the summer house since she was twelve, and she definitely never planned on going back. Up at the lake she is confronted with people she thought she left behind, like her former best friend, Lucy, and Henry Crosby, her first crush, who’s all grown up…and a lot cuter. Suddenly Taylor is surrounded by memories she’d rather leave in the past—but she can’t run away this time.
As the days lying on the beach pass into nights gazing at the stars, Taylor realizes she has a second chance—with friends, with family, maybe even with love. But she knows that once the summer ends, there is no way to recapture what she stands to lose. From Morgan Matson, the PW Flying Start author of Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour, this is a remarkable novel about hope in the face of heartbreaking grief. "

The last summer of us - Maggie Harcourt
Résumé : " Limpet, Steffan and Jared. Three best friends crammed into a clapped-out
rust bucket of a car on a whirlwind road trip to forget their troubles
and see out the end of the summer. But no matter how far they drive,
they can't escape the hidden secrets and slow-burning romance that could
upset the balance of their friendship – perhaps forever.
"A perfect summer read... Harcourt brilliantly captures the feeling of being sixteen and on the edge of the rest of your life." - The Bookseller "

Winger - Andrew Smith
Résumé : " A teen at boarding school grapples with life, love, and rugby in a heartbreakingly funny novel.
Ryan Dean West is a fourteen-year-old junior at a boarding school for rich kids. He’s living in Opportunity Hall, the dorm for troublemakers, and rooming with the biggest bully on the rugby team. And he’s madly in love with his best friend Annie, who thinks of him as a little boy.
With the help of his sense of humor, rugby buddies, and his penchant for doodling comics, Ryan Dean manages to survive life’s complications and even find some happiness along the way. But when the unthinkable happens, he has to figure out how to hold on to what’s important, even when it feels like everything has fallen apart.
Filled with hand-drawn infographics and illustrations and told in a pitch-perfect voice, this realistic depiction of a teen’s experience strikes an exceptional balance of hilarious and heartbreaking. "

How to be bad - E. Lockart, Lauren Myracle, Sarah Mlynowski
Résumé : " Three bestselling authors—E. Lockhart, Sarah Mlynowski, and Lauren Myracle—bring you on the road trip of a lifetime in this dynamic novel packed with fun, friendship, and feminism.
Jesse,
Vicks, and Mel each has her own reason for wanting to get away from
their nowheresville Florida town. Add in a hot (and harmless)
hitchhiker, an impending hurricane, and a close encounter of the gator
kind, and the result is one sizzling road trip where the journey is far
more important than the destination. Now in a fresh new package, How to Be Bad will take even more readers along for the ride. "
Emmy & Oliver - Robin Benway
Résumé : " Emmy and Oliver were going to be best friends forever, or maybe even more, before their futures were ripped apart. In Emmy's soul, despite the space and time between them, their connection has never been severed. But is their story still written in the stars? Or are their hearts like the pieces of two different puzzles—impossible to fit together?
Résumé : " Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is smart, cynical, loyal - and well aware that she's not the hot one in her group of friends. But when high-school jock and all round moron Wesley Rush tells her she's a DUFF - a Designated, Ugly Fat Friend - Bianca does not the see funny side. She may not be a beauty but she'd never stoop so low as to go anywhere near the likes of Wesley ... Or would she? Bianca is about to find out that attraction defies looks and that sometimes your sworn enemies can become your best friends ...
With a wry and tell-it-like-it-is voice, New York Times Bestselling novel The Duff is a witty and poignant story of a teenager struggling with the rules of high school attraction, along with the breaking down of her relationships with family and friends. It is a novel about what it means to be sexy, in a world where we feel we have to be perfect ! "

Emmy just wants to be in charge of her own life. .
. . She wants to stay out late, surf her favorite beach—go anywhere
without her parents' relentless worrying. But Emmy's parents can't seem
to let her grow up—not since the day Oliver disappeared.
Oliver needs a moment to figure out his heart. . . . He'd thought, all these years, that his dad was the good guy. He never knew that it was his father who had kidnapped him and kept him on the run. Discovering it, and finding himself returned to his old hometown, all at once, has his heart racing, and his thoughts swirling.
Readers who love Sarah Dessen will devour these pages with hearts in throats as Emmy and Oliver struggle to face the messy, confusing consequences of Oliver's father's crime. Full of romance, coming-of-age emotion, and heartache, these two equally compelling characters create an unforgettable story. "
